Do you understand now? |

Minimalism, is a type of Visual Art using as little colors and graphical scenes as possible, common modern art uses Minimalism frequently. it is also used with Music, but any (decent) composer will abhor the word used with music, as they believe it is very different. At no point whatsoever did I try to tick you off, if you felt insulted, that's your fault, your not superman, so if you don't understand something you can ask in a normal way. |

Meanings differ and people have a way of feeling offended when their opinions are brought down, even if they are politely brought down... You can say that you don't mind but deep down you DO mind and if something like that happens a couple of times you can get angry. In the long time I've been here I've never seen a REAL fight.... Ofcourse there have been minor 'skirmishes' but a real flame fight? Nope never happened. I mean if you look at the fight fun ratio it would be something like 80/10... do you really want to give those 80 fun times just because of those ten fights? Dungeon Crawler Posts: 649 Joined: 26 Jul 2004 | First, Rufus, of I'm not poiting this out in any kind of malice, but I think that the subject can be focused upon further so that's why I post. :P I am going to take over the world and we'll se about that later, but fights on forums is something that can be handeled to some degree. Before you go all flameboyant, raising Heaven in ashes and summoning Shaitan - why not just politly ask if you have understood it correct - after that have fun blasting your way through the forums, keep in mind what you may face in then end. Flaming, spamming, trolling or just really pissing everybody of is something I won't tolerate if not said diffrently. Try and settle disputes in a civil manner, if not, don't let it escalate. Be respectful, have humour, have civilty. The high forms of humour is allowed of course! Respect the guidelines, I will not decend upon anyone before I have an insight in the whole dispute. I ask though that it can be settled between parts in private rather then in public eyes - may hurt more then heal. Enough of my arrogant propaganda! Bring in the spiced wine and let the music flow! |

By the same token, that doesn't mean that people should just up and leave if fighting happens *cough, B*. It happens, that's just a fact of the human race and it will never stop. Now, I second what OAW just said, and I also want to add that people should learn to laugh at themselves more *cough, Tidus*. Soldiers aren't eachothers enemies they are the humans trapped in a battle started by their superiors. If all soldiers would just say NO there would be no problems in this world (or at least no wars <.<) I mean what good is it to go kill people in a different country that haven't done anything wrong... just because some guy who claimed power says they have to fight. I have heard stories of WWII veterans that played soccer with Germans on christmas... then the next day they start killing eachother... Really pointless.... I mean wich animal would die for their god? Indeed none because they don't believe in gods. Which animal could be talked into believing in a god? Indeed none. He can't do a thing unless he has people under him who support him. How do you get people to support you? Yes indeed you manipulate them. It's not as if they put their choices in hats and just pick an outcome *sees Bush pull a nuke card*. War is a very serious matter which requires the denizens to stand up and fight for their country and rights so it is not threatened, or to help another country who is in danger because they're your allies. Has anyone ever noticed that human nature is what makes robots want to destroy us in the movies? There exists what is called "equillibrium". The state of opposite forces that balance each other out (positive and negative, good and bad....). The thing people don't consider is that there are people fixing the world's problems as best they can. Rather than helping out though, most people just complain and sit lazily in their own homes. That's normal though. Where you find something wrong in this world, someone else can find something right. Don't judge everything as wrong when you do nothing to change it yourself ;). |

Religion is a vile thing. I don't see much good than comfort. Bhuddism seems the only reasonable one...never heard a single fight there that has anything to do with their religion... People know now what they can have and they don't want to lose it war is the same... People who have advantages through war (the most powerfull people) will make sure you shut up. You need the support of everyone or at least the majority, and seeing as how people's silence can be bought so easily nowadays I don't think anyone will be willing to revolt against an impossible to overthrow government. It's what happens in Gundam Wing. Relena preaches peace without military, extreme pacifism, and her kingdom gets owned if it weren't for the gundams <.< To make people live in peace now is impossible for someone will see an oppurtunity for power and take it. Let's say that a country named Land01 are starving out their own citizens. Now, though the rules of civilization Land02 have a few options on how to help Land01's people. 1: War of Liberation. Now given history option 1 is fast and works well but often throws the whole region into dissarray when the invading forces try to settle peace effetctivly killing more and more people. Why this cruel irony? Simple: one of the founding stones of our sociaty is a countrys sovereignty. Crossing another countrys sovereignty is a big no-no. So the fundamental problem of today lies maybe not in the pure nature of man to fight his brother and sister, but how man have settled him self. :P Now don't take this as a pro-war post. Destruction is beatiful in it's own right - but not when people are hurt by it. |
