so what do you guys think is the best game adapted into a movie? i'm thinkin it's tied between Resident Evil and Postal. I just got the Postal DVD yesterday but i heard it came out 8/26. has anyone seen the movie yet?? i first saw it when it came out at the movies and it was freakin hilarious as hell!! couldn't stop watching the trailers on the imeem.com/postalthemovie page and the reviews on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Postal-UnRated-Erick-Avari/dp/B0019BI12I/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1216752192&sr=8-1 say it's a pretty good movie. but i guess we all have different tastes in movies. anyone liked it or thinking about getting the movie?? well what do you guys think is the best game developed into a movie??

I think Hitman was not that bad of a game/movie crossover... but back in the day when Mortal Kombat came out i thought that was the shizz (damn that was long time ago wasn't it?)

right before i read this thread, my friend called me and warned me to never watch postal due to it being horrible, and sense we both enjoyed the games i respect his opinion and am unlikly to view the movie willingly......2 words...UWE ....BOWL

hey Leafar, i'm just a fan of the movie that's all. it was my kind of humor and i thought it was hilarious as hell. i guess we're all entitled to our own opinions and there goes my two cents about this movie. as for shizzie, i mean my friends and i have the same taste in games, but our tastes in movies are a little different.

For me it has to be Mortal Kombat. Best game to film ever.

Amazing fights and a storyline that you would expect from a Martial Arts film. I did not enjoy the second film however.

I'd have to go with Silent Hill, the franchise. It's one of the scariest videogame series of all time, and known for it's great story. And best of all, it was made into a movie that turned out to be quite good.

Max-Pain might be descent,and AVP 2 was only 1/2 bad.Also thought Silent Hill had some good pasrts, ending was shit though.

The first AVP was alright. 1/2 bad as you would say, but the second was so cliche ugh! >,<

cliche but bloody^^ , also i liked it more then the 1st because the predator showed less compasion for humans. If i remember right, in the first one, dident it kinda help the chick?
My major gripe about avp2 was how the alien sceens, alot of them looked like a lame puppet show. Like a low budget head on stick moving into the frame.

I wish they would make a Dead Rising movie. Id say that even Uwe Bowl couldent mess it up, but i said that with his last few attempts at using good source material,which were all epic fails. But Quiten Tarrentino could probably pull it off.

There is no good movie adaptations of video games. Only tolerable ones.

My favorite is still Super Mario Bros., however.

I vote for Anna Kournakova(sp?) to play Samus.

they kinda pulled off the whole "metroid ball" system in "UltraViolet" when they deployed the kill teams into the labs early in the movie.
