The Savage 2 beta was supposed to come out last year June, now the game is in late-alpha stage. (I'm in this late-alpha by the way :p) Release dates are usually just set to please a publisher or the masses, they're rarely accurate. "Rest assured, your death will be utter horror." |

I think that Rockatar feels that GTA4 can't hold up to the "heavy-hitters" during the end of year releases. Those are your highly PRed games. GTA4 may be ready now, but I'm sure they are working on some new stuff to get people to buy the game while they're still playing Halo3 on Live. Find me here |

But as as you put it if the problem were the game's file size it would be no problem to fix, seeing as bit of code could easily be crushed, hidden, or entirely removed. More likely, it is demand for exclusive material i.e. each version will not be identical to the other. Console exclusivity is common with publishers and it is only good business after all, it would be Rockstar that would suffer the biggest blow if the game tanks, not Sony or Microsoft. Find me here |

Im sure the game will still be massive as all the GTA's. And originally GTA IV was going to PS3 exclusive but Rockstar changed there mind, obviously they had a look at the sales of the PS3 and thought they wouldn't make enough money to give Sony the exclusivity rights. Grand theft auto IV's release date has been pushed back to the 25th of April 08 because of development problems, this applys for both consoles, which really sucks as it was the only game i was anticipating this year. Myself i don't think there is any problem at all, Rockstar are just scared that the sales will be to small to constitute a release this year, i think they are hoping more people will buy/receive next generation consoles for christmas, thus helping sales and i also believe that they feel their game will be over shadowed by a few of the games that are being released at the same time, i.e Halo 3,Assasains Creed,Heavenly Sword, the last two are rumored too be big this year just for the fact they are something not really covered and we all know that Halo is the biggest thing on Xbox 360 so what would people buy if they had a 360, Halo or GTA, and we all know the answer to that question.Does anybody think the same as me or that Rockstar is really havin problems with development?
